Qualified Sous chefs are candidates who have experience organizing and running a high-end concept, as well as in a functioning in a front-facing capacity. The right candidate is comfortable communicating with guests, and helping to create a Michelin-caliber experience. This is a leadership position.

We are looking for a Sous chef to work in local locations as well as being available and open to relocate to our new concepts opening nationally and internationally!

This position will work inside The SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills.

Requirements:
Must be able to break down fish.
Basic English reading and communication skills.
Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to be on your feet and alert for extended periods of time.
Ability to work effectively within a team.
Strong attention to detail.
Proficient in multi-tasking in dynamic situations.
Knowledge of weights, measurements, volume and cooking procedures.
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. as needed.
Continuous use of hands and arms.
Continuous bending, reaching and twisting.
Help in the preparation and design of all food and drinks menus.
Produce high quality plates both design and taste wise.
Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards.
Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation.
Order supplies to stock inventory appropriately.
Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards.
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
