Job purpose: A Laundry Room Attendant’s responsibilities include cleaning, pressing and folding laundry as needed. Ensuring consistent and efficient service to all customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Folding laundry
  • Keep an updated inventory of laundry detergents and sewing kits
  • Track maintenance and repairs on laundering equipment
  • Ensure that the facility remains clean at all times
  • Anticipate and respond to customers’ queries, concerns and complaints
  • May also perform other functions such as but not limited to cleaning bathroom: mirrors, vanity and sink, toilet, shower, bathtub, shower curtain and refresh towels daily; restocking of bathrooms with facial and toilet tissue, soap, shampoo, bath gel and amenities as instructed; cleaning of rooms: closet, doors, furniture, chairs, pictures and frames, under bed, television, radio clock, windows, lamps, telephone, doorknobs, sliding glass-door frame, clean and shine fixtures; filling and wiping of ice buckets; alignment of drapes or shutters; sweeping and mopping of assigned areas
  • Any other reasonable duties as required
Requirements:

Qualifications Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proven work experience as a Laundry Attendant or similar role
  • Familiarity with cleaning detergents and laundering equipment
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • Good communication skills
  • Pleasant personality
  • Customer-oriented
  • Team player spirit

Working Conditions:

This position works in the usual Guest room environment with the usual considerations to space, lighting and ventilation. In addition to the Guest room this position may do work in the field.

Physical requirements:

Strong physical condition; Ability to stand for long periods

Must be able to bend, crouch, pull, lift up to 50 pounds
