Job Title: Assistant Property Manager

Location: Chico, CA

Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to support the daily operations of our residential and commercial properties in Butte County. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a passion for property management. This role will involve assisting the Property Manager in ensuring the efficient management of properties, maintaining high occupancy rates, and delivering exceptional tenant experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Property Manager in overseeing property operations, including leasing, maintenance, and tenant relations.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants, addressing inquiries, concerns, and maintenance requests promptly.
• Support the leasing process, including showing properties, processing applications, and preparing lease agreements.
• Help manage property budgets, track expenses, and maintain financial records.
• Coordinate maintenance and repair activities, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
• Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Assist in marketing efforts to attract new tenants, including online listings and community outreach.
• Maintain organized files and documentation for leases, tenant communications, and maintenance records.
• Collaborate with vendors and contractors for maintenance and improvement projects.
• Stay informed about local property management regulations and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience in property management or a related field is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in Appfolio and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of California landlord-tenant laws and regulations is desirable.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
