About This Role:

We seek a driven, detail-oriented web designer to join our growing team. In this role, you will utilize your design skills alongside HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create and maintain engaging website pages, landing pages, digital applications, and email templates. You will report to and work closely with our Design & UX Manager and collaborate with the Marketing and Digital Banking teams to enhance our member experience and effectively communicate our brand. We are committed to providing exceptional service to our members, and you will play a crucial role in achieving this through innovative design solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update website pages and email templates, implementing necessary enhancements.
  • Ensure all design elements function seamlessly across various browsers and devices (responsive web design).
  • Develop HTML/CSS/JavaScript code for new and existing CMS templates.
  • Code front-end elements for various web applications.
  • Create prototypes, mockups, and staging sites for review and feedback.
  • Monitor website performance metrics to inform design improvements.
  • Optimize websites and applications to ensure accessibility and fast loading speeds.
  • Identify and troubleshoot various website issues and coding problems.
  • Collaborate with the design, content, and development teams to enhance the functionality and user-friendliness of web applications.
  • Analyze target market trends, as well as competitors to inform design strategies.
  • Assess new standards, technologies, and trends, and formulate strategies and plans for future enhancement of websites.
  • Maintain and develop a high level of technical expertise including, but not limited to, new coding techniques, front-end development practices, and knowledge of the development industry and any advancements in technology.
  • Meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.

Who You Are:

  • Minimum 2 year's experience in a front-end web design and development role.
  • Up-to-date portfolio demonstrating mastery, creativity, and diversity is required.
  • Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and content management systems; knowledge of Bootstrap a plus.
  • Must have knowledge and experience with Adobe XD/Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator.
  • Familiarity with HubSpot CMS and Email; ability to learn new content platforms quickly.
  • Strong knowledge of responsive design and ADA/Accessibility principles.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with designers, developers, and other relevant staff members or clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines; Flexibility to adapt to changing instructions and requirements; Willingness to troubleshoot and solve complex problems.
  • Understanding of SEO principles.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects and details simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Adhere to hybrid schedule policy; three days per week in office located in either Rye, NY, or Chelmsford, MA; two days per week remote.

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $72,000 - $78,000, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential incentives. This position is also eligible for an annual corporate bonus. If you are hired at USALLIANCE Federal Credit Union, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part is any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth. We also offer a generous compensation and benefits package.

All positions must adhere to standard BSA/AML policies, procedures, and processes. Employees must demonstrate awareness of business functions and how business decisions affect financial and/or non-financial work results.
