Job Description

TowerHunter Executive search has been retained by an innovative production and packaging solutions company in the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical space. We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Vice President of Sales to lead and drive the growth of the business across North America and globally. This critical leadership role will focus on expanding market share by deepening relationships with current customers and identifying new opportunities. The VP of Sales will play a pivotal role in shaping company priorities, defining, and executing sales strategies, and leading a high-performing sales team. The role sits in the Greater Phoenix, Arizona area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Growth: Develop and execute innovative strategies to aggressively grow the business, expanding both existing customer relationships and securing new accounts.
  • Sales Leadership: Lead a small but impactful sales team, providing mentorship and fostering a high-performance culture. Oversee independent representative strategies and leverage the growing internet sales function to maximize results.
  • Hands-On Sales Execution: Act as a "hands-on" sales leader, personally engaging in key account management and pursuing strategic opportunities. Embrace the "thrill of the hunt" by actively driving sales efforts.
  • Technical Expertise: Understand and communicate value-added production and packaging solutions, addressing customer inquiries with technical savvy and clarity.
  • Market Development: Lead market planning, development, and pricing strategies to identify and capitalize on new product applications and opportunities.
  • Budget Management: Formulate and manage sales budgets to align with company growth objectives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Provide leadership and guidance across the organization to ensure alignment with sales goals and drive overall business growth.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of success as a sales leader in manufacturing or equipment sales, with a demonstrated ability to grow revenue and market share.
  • Strong technical acumen, with the ability to explain complex solutions and engage effectively with customers.
  • Experience in direct B2B sales and strategic interfacing with independent representative organizations.
  • Skills in market planning, development, pricing, and new product applications.
  • Hands-on leadership style, with a passion for driving results and pursuing opportunities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and lead a team.
  • Experience managing budgets and aligning resources to achieve strategic objectives.
