About the Role
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Psychiatric Social Workers to provide mental health services and psychosocial support to individuals and families facing mental health and substance use challenges. This role involves conducting assessments, developing personalized treatment plans, and providing therapeutic interventions to help clients manage crises and improve their overall well-being.
Psychiatric Social Workers in this position may work in a variety of settings, including secured federal facilities, medically remote locations, industrial projects, long-term care facilities, and acute care settings. Opportunities are available for short-term, temporary, and long-term assignments.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to identify clients' mental health needs.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with healthcare teams.
Provide individual, family, and group therapy using a broad range of therapeutic techniques.
Establish and maintain supportive relationships with clients, families, and guardians to facilitate access to resources.
Advocate for clients to ensure they receive appropriate care and support services.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive mental health care.
Offer crisis intervention services during psychiatric emergencies.
Educate clients and families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources.
Maintain accurate and confidential client records.
Monitor and evaluate client progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
Oversee patient transportation services to medical appointments as required.
Support legal and ethical processes related to guardianship and involuntary commitment proceedings.
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, policies, and accreditation standards.
Provide expert recommendations at diagnostic and treatment review conferences.
Assist with social service needs across various healthcare settings.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Licensing:
Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
Current and active Social Work license in New Hampshire with no history of prior or pending disciplinary action.
Experience:
At least one year of clinical experience providing direct patient care as a licensed Clinical Social Worker.
Experience in one or more of the following settings:
Detention or correctional healthcare
Residential healthcare
Hospitals, outpatient clinics, or nursing homes
Experience working with both pediatric and adult patients preferred.
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from one of the following organizations:
American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers
American Red Cross CPR/BLS for the Professional Rescuer
American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) CPR and AED for Healthcare Providers and Professional Responders
Certification must include training in Adult, Pediatric, and Infant CPR, Foreign Body Airway Obstruction, and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) proficiency.
Additional Requirements:
U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Must not have any criminal convictions beyond minor traffic violations.
Ability to reliably commute or relocate to Concord, NH.
Flexibility to travel on short notice and serve in various medical units as needed.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
Work is primarily performed in an office or clinical setting.
Requires extended periods of sitting or standing.
May involve occasional bending, stooping, and lifting up to 15 lbs.

Competitive hourly rate: $35/hr - $45/hr, based on experience and qualifications.
