Role title: Provider Operations and Business Development Manager Salary range: $120,000 - $132,000, depending on experience Job type: remote Up to 5% of travel is required for this position LSAC is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to advance law and justice by encouraging diverse, talented individuals to study law and by supporting their enrollment and learning journeys from prelaw through practice. LSAC provides products and services that support candidates and schools throughout the law school admission process, and innovative solutions to expand and diversify the range of prelaw students, enhance student outcomes in law school, and support legal professionals throughout their careers. We are looking for a provider operations and business development manager to join our team and help us grow our business by establishing and maintaining strong relationships with providers across the legal education ecosystem including licensees, consultants, bar prep providers and 3rd party tool providers. You will also work with key internal stakeholders who may be more directly responsible for the relationship with the provider. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire provider lifecycle, from sourcing and contracting to performance evaluation and issue resolution. You will also identify new business opportunities, develop proposals, evaluate business plans, and negotiate agreements with potential providers. In addition, you will identify IP and other violations through proactive research and reach out to resolve such violations. To be successful in this role, you should have excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, as well as a strong customer service mentality. You should also have a solid understanding of the software industry and the ability to onboard new clients to our software solutions. You should be able to work independently and collaboratively, as well as manage multiple projects and deadlines. A key to success in this role will be the ability to spot an opportunity to create a win-win situation for both LSAC/LawHub and the provider. The individual employed in this position will be required to: Develop and maintain long-term relationships with licensees, consultants, bar prep providers, 3rd party tool providers, and other providers to ensure mutual satisfaction and business growth. Maintain strong relationships with providers through consistent contact and timely resolution of questions or issues. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, generating leads and prospects, and creating proposals and presentations. Develop opportunity models that are the basis for a strong relationship with the provider. Negotiate agreements with providers, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards. Work closely and collaboratively with the Office of General Counsel on matters related to development of agreements, as well as agreement compliance by providers. Monitor and evaluate provider performance and quality, providing feedback and resolving issues as needed. Lead trademark usage request reviews working in collaboration with the Office of General Council and Marketing. Develop and execute intellectual property enforcement actions in collaboration with the Office of General Council. Manage the software onboarding process for new providers, providing training and support, and ensuring smooth integration and adoption. Collaborate with internal teams, such as sales, marketing, product, and engineering, to coordinate provider activities such as technical integration or promotional activities while aligning goals and expectations. Collaborate with Marketing to manage communications to providers from the LawHub team including regular general updates and distribution of newsletters and release notes. Conduct market research and analysis, staying updated on industry trends, best practices, and competitor strategies. Develop, implement, and monitor operational systems and processes for license inquiries, license execution, and licensing business operations (including licensing pipeline, contract management, customer relations, account management, refunds, invoice reporting, and collection of licensing fees and past due payments). Plan, monitor, and analyze key metrics for the licensing program including licensing pipeline, compliance, and IP enforcement. Manage the distribution of licensing subscription reports and other provider revenue reporting to Finance. Develop and maintain the LawHub Provider CRM database. Prepare and present reports and metrics on provider performance, satisfaction, and revenue. Competencies Strong written and verbal communication skills. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field or equivalent working experience 5+ years of experience in vendor management, business development, or a similar role Experience in the software industry, preferably with software as a service (SaaS) product. Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software Additional Information Supervisory Responsibilities This position may have direct supervisory responsibilities. Position Type This is an exempt, full time (37.5 hours per week) position. The LSAC standard business hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:45 p.m. ET. While these are the standard office hours for LSAC, the employee will be expected to work the hours necessary to satisfactorily complete their assignments in a responsible and professional manner. Work Environment This job operates in a remote and professional office environment.
