Job Summary Novant Health is seeking an experienced prospect research manager to join our Foundation team. This position will report to the Sr. Director of Operations supporting all six of our Foundations. The Prospect Research Manager is responsible for innovative, proactive, and strategic leadership in the collection, analysis, dissemination, and maintenance of biographical, financial asset and public prospect information in support of the fundraising efforts of the Novant Health Foundations. The researcher will provide this support by creating prospect research dossiers and briefings, conducting proactive research for identification and dissemination of new prospect leads, coordinating prospect identification and screening through data mining and vendor-sourced leads, as well as preparing specific research for special projects. This position will provide and maintain information on prospects and donors, suggest cultivation and solicitation strategies for new prospects, and identify new individual, corporate and foundation prospects. Bachelor’s degree, required. Experience: Minimum 5 years, preferred. Additional Skills (required): Strong business acumen with the ability to assess risk, identify and address issues and prioritize Ability to understand the needs and interests of leadership and major gift donors in order to develop relationships between them and Novant Health Foundations Ability to work both independently without close oversight, and as a team player who will productively engage with others at varying levels of seniority within and outside Novant Health. Flexible and adaptable style; a leader who can positively impact both strategic and tactical fundraising initiatives. Strong analytical skills and robust knowledge of prospect research. Ability to take initiative and to manage multiple tasks and projects at a time. Self-starter who is results-oriented. High level of organizational and management skills and demonstrated ability to motivate staff to achieve departmental goals. Experience using Salesforce or similar development database programs.
