BASIC FUNCTION OF THE JOB
The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for directing and overseeing the operations and administration of assigned projects and programs. The PM provides visible leadership, accountability, and authority over high-profile projects and programs delivered to Traversa’s customer partners and their end customers. This includes coordinating activities among engineering resources, office staff, and potentially other Project Managers and Project Coordinators.
The PM is responsible for planning, developing, and managing projects while ensuring performance and progress align with documented objectives. They also ensure projects meet established revenue and expense goals. The PM works independently and demonstrates a high degree of initiative in problem-solving and implementing solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Management & Execution
- Oversee all project deliverables in alignment with PMI standards, including scope, resource management, planning, quality control, change management, risk mitigation, and project closure.
- Maintain accountability for budget and expense management to achieve defined project profitability targets.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with partners and customers while collaborating with sales staff.
- Communicate effectively in both written and oral formats.
Analytical & Technical Proficiency
- Collaborate with senior leadership to establish key project metrics and dashboards that align with business objectives.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project data, including milestones, plans, hours, and risk assessments.
- Utilize industry-standard tools such as Microsoft Office, CRM software, and SharePoint to manage project workflows effectively.
Customer & Partner Relationship Management
- Conduct regular status meetings to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and adherence to communication plans.
- Address and resolve internal and external customer challenges to maintain workflow continuity and manage risk.
Product Resale & Leadership Support
- Demonstrate an understanding of product resale channels and their impact on project profitability.
- Exhibit strong leadership skills, effective communication abilities, and a keen awareness of margin and revenue considerations.
- Assist senior leadership with customer and partner escalations, ensuring project objectives are consistently met or exceeded.
Personal Goal Setting & Self-Management

Additional Responsibilities
- Travel as needed to customer sites, branch offices, and events.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's or Associate’s degree (B.S.) from an accredited institution.
- 2–4 years of project management experience in IT services, IT operations, or professional services.
- Experience with networking, storage, infrastructure lifecycle services, and enterprise systems.
- PMP certification or active pursuit of PMP certification with expected completion within six months.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly required to sit, stand, talk, hear, and use hands to operate a computer and phone.
- Ability to adjust focus for computer work and read printed materials.
Work Environment:
