• Competitive Salary $88,483 (Step 1) - $119,225 (Step 4), achievable after 3 years and $121,659 (Step 5) after 15 years. Current labor contract.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enforce laws and ordinances
• Investigate crimes and accidents
• Provide emergency medical services as a first responder
• Promote community relationships and crime prevention
• Testify in court and prepare case documentation
• Patrol and maintain public order
• Engage in problem-solving with the community

Minimum Qualifications:

• A commitment to and belief in the organization's shared values.
• Two years of college work is required (90 quarter credits or 60 semester credits) from a regionally accredited college or university  AND successfully complete a Minnesota Professional Peace Officer Education (PPOE) program from a POST Board certified school.  In addition , must comply with the minimum selection standards of the Minnesota Board of Peace Officers Standards and Training.
• Hold a license issued by or eligible to be licensed by the Minnesota Police Officers Standards and Training Board (P.O.S.T.)
• Possess valid Minnesota driver's license  without  recent significant traffic violations.
• Successful  completion of medical, drug testing, and psychological exams.
• Must supply background information as requested.

Desired Qualifications:
