We are offering a contract for a PC Technician role in Washington, District of Columbia. This role is centered in the event technology industry, where the selected individual will provide crucial technical support for events, coordinate equipment maintenance, and contribute to the event coordination committee.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct technical support for various events which includes setting up, operating, and testing equipment, or training event leads to do the same.
• Develop, compose, and revise clear and concise documentation, training, and configuration instructions for installed AV systems.
• Extend support to third-party organizations and outside groups prior to events, detailing technical capabilities of equipment and venue, and school policies and procedures.
• Oversee third-party support for all installed AV equipment as per maintenance schedules, and coordinate system design, installation timelines, and replacement of systems.
• Actively participate in the Event Coordination Committee and attend weekly event and activity coordination meetings.
• Collaborate closely with the Facilities and Operations and Technology teams on physical plant aspects of AV and PA systems.
• Provide after-hours event support as required, based on the nature and size of events, and the school activity and event schedule.
• Exhibit proficiency with audio mixers, setting up and troubleshooting microphones and wireless microphones, portable audio systems, etc.
• Demonstrate competence in slide projection systems, including projectors and control software.
• Gain experience in setting up portable AV equipment for events, including speakers, monitors, and microphones.• Proficiency in Computer Hardware
• Familiarity with Dell Technologies
• Experience with IBM systems
• Knowledge of Linux Technologies
• Expertise in handling Mac Computers
• Proficiency in AB Testing
• Experience with Active Directory
• Ability to manage Apple Devices
• Experience with Backup Technologies
• Skill in Cable Installation
• Knowledge of Audio Visual technologies
• Familiarity with Cisco Voice Over Internet (VoIP)
• Experience in managing Voice over internet protocol (VoIP) systems
• Proficiency in VOIP - Voice Over IP
• Experience with VoIP System
• Skill in handling VoIP technologies
• Knowledge of Audio Mixing
• Experience with Microphones
• Familiarity with Wireless Microphones
• Ability to operate Projectors
