Job Title: Mobile Java Developer Duration: 1+ Months-Extendable Location: Harrisburg, PA-Initial Remote Note: This requisition will feature a virtual pre-screen via Teams and then have final in-person interview onsite at The Keystone Building. Client seeks only local candidates within the immediate Harrisburg, PA Metro Area as at any moment could be working onsite at The Keystone Building; however, currently work is remote . This position is 40 hours per week. The individual will need to physically report to The Server Farm in Harrisburg, PA in order for first day processing/onboarding, possible badging and to pick up commonwealth issued equipment . Job Description: Development of backend systems for Mobile Applications. Demonstrate knowledge in a wide range of backend systems and protocols. Assist in project planning to develop timelines and ensure capacity. Follow department and industry best practices for processes and standards to promote consistency and improve productivity. Design and create database schemas to be implemented in a range of database platforms, including DB2 and Oracle RDBMSs. Participate in server-side code reviews to ensure alignment with best practices and coding standards. Participate in the full SDLC process of Mobile Application solutions. Develop code deliverables utilizing Java, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, JSON, XML, JDBC, SQL, and web services to be deployed via standard server instances, such as JBoss, and microservices architecture. Participate and provide feedback in meetings, including daily standup meetings. Support product deployment and product validations. Provide operational production incident support for applications assigned. Utilize Mobile application development team's Azure cloud environment and related Azure cloud environment services, IDEs with integrated tools, automations and pipelines, binary repository management tools, and monitor apps using Splunk and AppInsights to ensure optimum service delivery and environment uptime. Required/Desired Skills: Experience with object-oriented development Experience working with enterprise development teams Experience with J2EE applications development Experience with relational database development Experience in web service design & development (SOAP/XML and REST/JSON) for enterprise Experience in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Angular, React Experience with Cloud, specifically development, deployment, and management of Docker containers Experience in DevOps products, specifically Azure DevOps.
