Who We Are:

Odenton Acupuncture is a patient-centered, growth-driven practice dedicated to delivering top-tier healthcare through acupuncture, Chinese herbal therapy, and therapeutic massage. We are in-network providers with many private insurance plans and we collaborate with the Veterans Administration to support the health and wellness of our veterans. Our practice has experienced tremendous growth, and we are now seeking an experienced Practice Manager to join our team. This individual will play a pivotal role in promoting further growth through exceptional customer service, efficient operational management, and fostering a culture of positivity, teamwork, and collaboration.

 

Role Summary:

The Practice Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of daily clinic operations, ensuring optimal workflow, team engagement, and patient satisfaction. Key responsibilities include staff management, operations oversight, EHR and scheduling system administration, and implementation of strategies for clinic growth. This role is vital for driving efficiency, supporting team morale, and achieving performance and financial goals alongside the practice owner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage daily clinic operations to ensure a seamless, positive patient experience.
  • Lead, mentor, and support clinic staff, including recruitment, hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Facilitate effective communication and team engagement through regular staff meetings and one-on-one support.
  • Manage staff and practitioner payroll, onboarding, and scheduling processes.
  • Maintain and oversee EHR and scheduling systems, ensuring efficiency, proper scheduling, and timely payment collection.
  • Address patient escalations with empathy, ensuring consistent delivery of excellent customer service.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance clinic efficiency, resolve operational bottlenecks, and improve patient experience.
  • Collaborate with the practice owner to meet/exceed clinic performance and financial goals.
  • Drive clinic growth through targeted initiatives, performance tracking, and budget management.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all other relevant federal/state regulations.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5+ years in a medical office environment, with at least 2+ years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven history of inspiring teams, fostering a positive workplace culture, and encouraging professional development.
  • Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in insurance processes, coding, billing, and EHR systems.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of HIPAA and other healthcare regulatory standards.
