This is a full time position, servicing multiple properties, with a guaranteed two consecutive days off including 2 weekend days. On rare occasions you may work Saturday or in an emergency ,Sunday or holiday. SummaryUnder the supervision and at the direction of the Maintenance Manager, perform moderate to difficult repairs, preventative maintenance and turnovers to maintain the condition and appearance of properties and systems in our owners homes and our residents' living in them. Your knowledge and expertise will be paramount to this position. DutiesGeneral Repairs and maintenance such as minor plumbing, electrical, appliance repairs. Changing locks, doors, windows, repairing siding, cabinet repair, painting etc. Actively and independently coordinate and participate in timely resident turnovers and completion of maintenance requestsTimely and professional response to ongoing maintenance needs within prescribed response guidelinesInterior and exterior common area upkeep that may include litter patrol of parking lots, trash enclosures and laundry rooms, community center and carports, and pressure washing of buildings and exterior walkwaysParticipation (occasional) in after-hours on-call service as may be neededProperty Inspections to ensure tenants are caring for the property and to identify maintenance concerns.Occasionally post legal notices as assignedProviding within prescribed timeline repair completion and progress reports.Other duties assigned as required and necessaryQualificationsThe requirements listed below are representative, but not exclusive of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.High school diploma, GED, and position related experienceMust demonstrate the ability to complete your work independently and efficiently Minimum of one year maintenance experience in the areas of, appliance repair, basic electrical, basic plumbing, painting and carpentry.Valid driver licenseGood driving recordAbility to work a flexible scheduleFunctioning smartphoneProperty management handyman or housing maintenance experience preferred but not requiredHave your own tools to perform general maintenance and repairsAbility to quickly and efficiently diagnose a repair or maintenance issue and complete the repairAble to read, understand and follow written instructionsAbility to complete minor reports in detail and on-timeThe ability to maintain a professional appearance and provide excellent customer service to residents and the publicAbility to bend, pull, climb ladders, lift , move equipment and supplies regularly up to 50lbs and occasionally 80lbs.Ability to work in confined spacesAbility to treat customers/residents with positivity and respectBenefitsBlue Roof Property Management offers competitive wages, incentive bonuses, paid time off, paid holidays, Health Insurance and company vehicle or gas allowance (Benefits vary by position and hours worked.)RequirementsApplicants offered positions will be required to complete a pre-employment screening process which includes criminal history, driving record, drug screen and knowledge testing.Blue Roof Property Management is an equal opportunity employer.
