Junior Designer Employment Type: Freelance Date Posted: 6/26/2023 Location: San Francisco, CA Pay Range: $42.00 - $56.00 per Hour Job Number: JO-2306-2230 Primary Function Seeking a junior designer with a passion for short-form content and concepting, designing, and executing high-end motion graphics for broadcast, digital, and social projects in a fast-paced agency production environment. We are looking for someone who has the technical skills and an eye for critical details to facilitate media workflows in a fast-turnaround environment. They will assist Art Directors and other creative colleagues in the creation of social content for a global tech brand. Duties & Responsibilities Work closely with Art Directors to design and execute content as standalone projects or integrated with video and online/mobile content Meet with team to establish the desired feel and look for the video to be created as well as the purpose of the video's creation Conform to client-specific design requirements, from conservative to cutting edge Develop unique creative concepts, designs and storyboarding to support desired messages Demonstrate understanding of branding and marketing strategies and implementation Provide design services in support of video, web and other assigned projects Integrate design elements into finished video projects, presentations, web or print materials Be constantly vigilant throughout all projects for correct details and accurate program content Perform basic troubleshooting of design suite software Manage the proper cataloging, tagging and archiving of completed projects Adapt to ongoing changes in processes, priorities, tasks and workload Work in the most proactive, creative and professional manner to provide the highest level of service to our clients Actively bring innovative creative solutions to the table Other duties as assigned Skills & Qualifications Deep understanding of branding and marketing strategies and implementation Demonstrated ability for visual storytelling Deep experience in editing/designing short form video content for popular social networks such as TW, FB, IG and LI Familiar with social network editing techniques such as GIF’s, super-fast cuts, ramping, and various motion techniques that work well on social media Proficient in both Mac & PC operation Solid understanding of the Adobe Creative Cloud platform, including Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Media Encoder and After Effects Capable of custom graphic design, unique illustration, exceptional typography and impactful animations in 2D or 3D image formats Detail-oriented and precise with desire for a flawless final product Strong results orientation with a flexible attitude to deliver seamless and timely services to clients Capable of concept development/articulation, previsualization, and storyboarding Well organized and capable of handling multiple ongoing assignments Fully capable of accurate time and resource budgeting Must have a commitment to excellence and to ongoing education in motion design, current conceptual & stylistic trends, industry landscape, and to the mastery of their craft Candidate should be willing to travel on occasion Education & Experience 3+ years’ video editing and motion design experience Agency broadcast experience preferred Bachelor's in Design, Video/Film Production or related field is required Excellent online samples that demonstrate short-form work for major clients To Apply Use the link at the bottom of this page to apply.
