We’re looking for a Fleet Manager to oversee the planning and dispatching of our fleet of trucks and drivers. In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring productivity, maintaining high service levels, and optimizing revenue, all while meeting the needs of both our customers and drivers. Compensation:
$60,000/year+ (dependent on experience)

Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Note: Availability after hours and on weekends may be required, as this is a 24/7 business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and assign drivers and vehicles to meet delivery and pick-up needs.
  • Review upcoming deliveries and develop efficient dispatch plans.
  • Enter assignments into the system and notify drivers of their schedules.
  • Monitor and track driver activity to ensure on-time performance.
  • Conduct performance reviews and training sessions for drivers.
  • Maintain clear communication with customers to coordinate scheduling and address inquiries.
  • Inform customers of delivery and pick-up times and handle any related questions.
  • Ensure compliance with all Department of Transportation (DOT), Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, inspections, and fuel usage.
  • Manage the fleet’s operational budget, focusing on minimizing costs related to fuel, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Analyze fuel usage and implement strategies to improve fuel efficiency.
  • Track and manage vehicle life cycles.
  • Work with suppliers and service providers for fuel, parts, and repair services.
  • Negotiate contracts and ensure the company receives competitive pricing and quality service.
  • Be knowledgeable about OTR trucks and maintenance.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in the transportation industry.
  • Previous experience with Fleet Management software, Samsara GPS & MS Office preferred
  • Strong understanding of scheduling, dispatching, and fleet management concepts.
  • Familiarity with DOT and state-specific safety regulations.
  • Exceptional multitasking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
