We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Fiber Optic Splicer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for splicing fiber optic cables, ensuring strong connections, and maintaining network integrity. This role is essential to the quality and efficiency of our network infrastructure projects, ensuring high-speed data transmission across various locations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform fiber optic splicing, termination, and testing for new and existing networks
• Conduct troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on fiber optic cables and equipment
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and splice documentation
• Use testing and diagnostic equipment, such as OTDR and power meters, to identify and repair issues
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures
• Document work, including updating as-built and fiber documentation
• Coordinate with project managers, field crews, and other technicians to ensure projects are completed accurately and on time

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Fiber Optic Splicer or similar role
• Strong knowledge of fiber optic cables, tools, and splicing techniques
• Proficiency with OTDR, power meters, and other testing equipment
• Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and documentation
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Physical ability to work outdoors and in various weather conditions
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
