About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director. This external-facing role is pivotal in community relations, with a focus on blood sponsor relationship management, fundraising, and managing the local Board of Directors and United Way relationships. The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue and blood collection goals, with a strong emphasis on blood collection. Key responsibilities include cultivating and stewarding community stakeholders, enhancing the organization's presence in the community, and supporting fundraising efforts. The Executive Director will also manage a team of volunteer Community Volunteer Leaders and is expected to have a direct impact on the organization's mission of helping people in need. Candidates for the Executive Director position should have a four-year college degree in a relevant field, with a preference for a Master's degree, and a minimum of 5 years' related experience. The role requires strong communication, influencing, and public speaking skills, as well as the ability to develop and implement fundraising strategies. Management experience of at least 3 years is also necessary. The ideal candidate will be adept at building and sustaining community relationships, be proficient in MS Office, and have experience working in a flexible, change-managed environment. The position demands a high level of dedication to the organization's mission and may require travel and participation in emergency response activities.
