Job Description

Summary:: We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Router Operator. The CNC Router Operator will produce machined parts by programming, setting up and operating the CNC router. Promotes safe practices while operating router to appropriately achieve an exceptional cut of material.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Reads blueprints and/or job orders for product specifications including dimensions and tolerances, and tooling instructions including fixtures, feed rates, cutting speed, depth of cut
• Determines sequence of operations
• Selects, positions, and secures tool in tool holder (chuck, collet, or tool post)
• Positions and secures workpiece holding devices, machine tables, chuck, centers, or fixtures
• Ability to use equipment to position tools and work pieces in relation to each other
• Observes operation of machine and verifies conformance of machined work piece to specifications

Experience:

• Experience and background in plastics industry preferred
• Ability to figure yields to minimize waste of raw materials
• Strong math skills, able to determine and decipher fractional & decimal dimensions
• 1-3 years’ experience in a fabrication/production role
• Proficiency with producing parts using CNC machinery
• Proficiency in using standard fabrication and warehouse equipment
