Global Strategic Category Manager – Direct Materials

About The Job:

Nouryon’s Houston, TX location is looking for top candidates to fill the key role of Global Strategic Category Manager – Direct Materials. This position is essential to:

Developing procurement strategies at a regional and/or global category level for a total annual spend of 50-100 million USD of direct materials.

In Your Future Role as a Global Strategic Category Manager, You Will:

• Have a good understanding of complex market dynamics and the ability to apply critical thinking to develop effective procurement strategies that balance value with risk mitigation.
• Build and manage stakeholder relationships, ensuring smooth collaboration internally and externally.
• Demonstrate good communication skills with the ability to engage people at all levels of the organization in a multicultural setting.
• Resolve conflicts and build organizational alignment.
• Be proficient with MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

We Believe You Bring:

• Bachelor or Master's Degree in a business-related area or industry, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 5 years experience in strategic and operational procurement.
• Fluency in English. Additional languages are an asset.

Good to know:
This is a permanent position on a full-time basis, reporting to the Regional PR Procurement Manager based in Houston, TX.
