Job Description
Under general supervision, the Catastrophe Inside Adjuster is responsible for investigating, negotiating, and settling basic and occasionally moderately complex Catastrophe personal property or liability insurance claims. The individual reviews the insurance policy, reviews reports and photos, evaluates damages, determines loss coverage, negotiates and settles claims and authorizes payments. This position is remote within the entire US, and is 100% virtual work. There is no travel involved. Rotating weekend hours (every 6-8 weeks) may be required in the future. Candidates in WA, CA, HI and AK are not eligible for this position.Key Responsibilities
Summarizes documents and enters into claim system notes
More advanced knowledge of all regional construction types and related repair methodologies
Negotiates and settles claims in accordance with business unit best practices
Handles contents inventories and basic and occasionally moderately complex pricing analysis and prepares claims reports
Handles ALE (additional living expense) claims, as needed
Reviews, evaluates, and submits potential underwriting referral actions
Investigates, reviews, determines, and verifies basic and occasionally moderately complex coverage/policy information
Documents a claim file with notes, evaluations, and decision-making process
