About the position:

If you are looking to get into the hospitality/food & beverage profession, here is a great place to start! Looking for individuals who are excited to work with people and learn how to make great poolside drinks as well as serve bar & grill type food to our resort visitors. If you have experience or looking to get some experience and willing to learn, this is the position for you!

Essential Functions:

• Perform opening/closing restaurant duties
• Take and deliver orders for guests
• Prepare nonalcoholic and alcoholic beverages and some food items to restaurant standards
• Interact with guests, vendors, and other staff in a pleasant and professional manner
• Set and maintain banquet service as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Maintain own cash drawer and cashier reports
• Enforce Resort Pool Policies and Procedures
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management

Education/Experience Required:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Alcohol awareness training
• Knowledge of local and state laws regarding alcohol sale and consumption
• Must have or obtain food handlers permit within 2 weeks of employment
• 6 months experience and/or education in serving / bartending preferred but not required, training available

Specific Skills Required:

• Must have food handlers permit
• Self motivated/ team oriented
• Display courtesy and professionalism in all contacts
• Excel at time management
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Cash handling experience
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays
• Able to multitask
• Must have intermediate knowledge of POS (Point of Sale computer) system.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift and or push up to 50lbs, move, stand, walk, traverse, crouch/stoop, kneel, repetitive hand/wrist motion, reach, bend, and see.
• Must be able to recognize, distinguish, and convey information.
• Have the ability to converse with staff & guests with great consistency
