An International Airline company is seeking a Passenger Service Supervisor / Assistant Manager to work out of their YVR Airport location.

  • Direct-Hire with Excellent Benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, Sick Leave, Paid Time Off, Holiday Pay, 401k, Travel Benefits, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of related experience including Passenger Service, traffic, baggage, and/or cargo operations experience is required
  • Bilingual skills, especially in Japanese is a big plus
  • MUST be flexible to work any shift
    • 8 hours per day, 5 days per week (including Weekends and Holidays) between: Monday – Sunday: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Salary Range:
    • Supervisor-level: $59.8K – 74.8K CAD / year (DOE)
    • Assistant Manager-level: $69K – 86.2K CAD / year (DOE)


Requirements of the YVR Airport Passenger Service Supervisor / Assistant Manager :

  • Must have 5+ years of related Customer Service experience including Passenger service, traffic, baggage, and/or cargo operations experience
  • Bachelor’s degree is required
  • Airline experience or Travel industry experience preferred but not required
  • Bilingual skill is strongly preferred, Japanese/English bilingual is a big plus
  • Must be flexible to work any shift schedules including weekends and holidays
  • Excellent Customer Service skills as well as interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and problem-solver


Responsibilities of the YVR Airport Passenger Service Supervisor / Assistant Manager :

  • Supervise/oversee all aspects of the operation at the airport
  • Supervise operational needs and monitoring that all staff are properly following company procedures as directed by managers
  • Perform any other supervisory functions as directed by Managers
  • Assist Managers in ground operations
  • Responsible to oversee and monitor all aspects of the flight turnaround
  • Review contracted expenses for accuracy and submitting for payment within specified deadlines
  • Ensure that Staff is updated of all changes in procedures
  • Coordinate with Tokyo headquarters for resolutions of recurring service problems or irregularities
  • Use independent discretion to make decisions based on the Company’s needs
  • Perform any other functions necessary to ensure smooth, timely and safe operations
  • Participate in performance review and contribute to the personnel decision-making process (i.e. hiring, performance evaluations, salary, promotions, termination, etc.)

< Additional Responsibilities as an Assistant Manager >

  • Administer staffing for the department through scheduling, deployment and general management of Staff
  • Coordinate local operations with all appropriate agencies and organizations as needed
  • Oversee all cargo and mail handling
  • Check invoices from contractor companies
  • Ensure all security and safety measures are being followed by staff
  • Perform any passenger service functions as directed by Senior Managers
  • Maintain close working relationships with all contractors
  • Communicate any issues or problems to necessary parties on a timely basis and troubleshooting as necessary
  • Prepare management reports
  • Represent the Company as necessary
  • Contribute to the personnel decision-making process (i.e. hiring, performance evaluations, salary, promotions, termination, etc.)
  • Train Staff as necessary
